Prof. Dr. jur. Christoph Holtwisch, LL.M., MPA, M.Sc., has been serving as Professor of Public Management at IU International University of Applied Sciences (distance learning) since 2021. Prior to this, he held a professorship in constitutional law as well as public construction and planning law at HSPV NRW. As a fully qualified lawyer as well as an administrative and environmental scientist, he combines academic excellence with an interdisciplinary and practice-oriented teaching approach. His research areas include public management and leadership, public international and European law, constitutional and administrative law, local government and politics, international climate policy, and the political and administrative system of the People’s Republic of China. In addition to his academic work, Prof. Dr. Holtwisch has been Managing Director of Studierendenwerk Münster since 2021 and also serves as spokesperson for all student services organizations in North Rhine-Westphalia. Previously, he served as Mayor of the City of Vreden and as spokesperson for the mayors and deputy mayors in the district of Borken.
