Prof. Dr. sc. techn. Christoph Uhrhan studied Product Engineering at Furtwangen University and Mechanical Engineering at Ruhr University Bochum. He then completed his doctorate at the Institute of Robotics at ETH Zurich. This was followed by various positions in the fields of mechatronics, robotics and automation technology. He gained international experience at Multimedia University, Melakka, Malaysia, and Pontificia Universidad Javeriana in Cali, Colombia. Since October 2011, he has been Professor of Applied Mechatronics at Furtwangen University, where he established and heads an extensive robotics laboratory. His research interests include the use of robots in new fields of application, human-robot interaction and the development of mechatronic products. Since September 2025, he has been passing on his experience in the field of robotics and mechatronics at the Turkish-German University in Beykoz/Istanbul.
