SHORT CV

Elif Yunt graduated from Üsküdar American Academy. She completed her Ph.D. in theoretical physics at Istanbul Technical University, Department of Physics Engineering, with a dissertation on Berry gauge fields and topological systems. As part of her doctoral studies, she continued her research at the California Institute of Technology (Caltech-IQIM) with the support of a TÜBİTAK fellowship. After completing her Ph.D., she conducted research both abroad (University of Malta) and in Turkey (İTÜ, KHAS, Koç University), focusing on the quantum thermodynamics of topological systems and quantum correlations in condensed matter systems. Since 2023, she has been working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Energy Science and Technologies at the Turkish-German University, where she leads the QuantumNESS – Quantum Novel Energy Systems and Synchronization group. Her research focuses on various areas of second generation quantum technologies and open quantum systems. Her project in the field of quantum technologies has been selected for funding for 3 years under the 1st Call of 2025- TÜBİTAK–ARDEB 1001 Program, 1st Call of 2025.
