SHORT CV

Dr. Meltem Karaismailoğlu Elibol graduated from Istanbul Erkek High School in 2005 and completed her B.Sc. degree in Chemistry at Yıldız Technical University (YTU) in 2010. She obtained her M.Sc. degree in Chemistry from the Technical University of Munich in 2012. In 2017, she joined the Department of Energy Science and Technology at the Turkish-German University as a research assistant and completed her Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering at Yıldız Technical University in 2019 with a dissertation entitled “Development of Metal Catalysts for Hydrogen Production.” Her research interests include catalytic hydrogen production from methane and biomass gas, development of electrocatalysts for lithium–sulfur batteries, conductivity measurements and characterization of ceramic-based catalysts, as well as carbon footprint calculation and life cycle assessment (LCA). Dr. Karaismailoğlu Elibol is a member of the Turkish National Hydrogen Association and currently serves as an Assistant Professor at the Department of Energy Science and Technology of the Turkish-German University.
