He graduated with a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from Yıldız Technical University, Faculty of Engineering. He obtained his M.Sc. degree at the Istanbul Technical University, in the Electronics and Communicationsengineering Program with his diploma thesis "Boundary conditions in the electromagnetic field". After nostrification his M.Sc. study at the Technical University of Vienna, Faculty of Electrical Engineering, he received his Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering at the same university and faculty with a thesis titled "Numerical calculation of the specific absorption rate in the human head induced by mobile phones". He continues his academic studies on electromagnetic theory and, direct and inverse scattering problems.
