SHORT CV

İsmail ÇINAR was born in Adıyaman in 1988. He completed his primary and secondary education in Istanbul and graduated from Istanbul University Law Faculty in 2011. From 2012 to 2019, he was in Germany on a scholarship from the Ministry of National Education of Turkey. In 2014, he graduated LL.M from the Free University of Berlin with the topic "The exclusion of excuse in the case of responsibility for conflict situation, according to § 35,1 (2) of the criminal code". In 2019, he graduated from the same university in the Department of Criminal Law with the thesis "Mistake of subsumption and its position in the criminal law doctrine of mistake. A contribution to the doctrine of mistake through a dogmatic-conceptual study of the Mistake of subsumption and its legal qualification within the doctrine of mistake in criminal law". In 2020 and 2021, he worked as a lecturer at Yalova University Faculty of Law, Chair of Criminal and Criminal Procedure Law, and in 2022 and 2023 as an assistant professor at the same chair. Since March 2023 he has been working as an assistant professor at the Chair of Criminal and Criminal Procedure Law at the Law Faculty of the Turkish-German University. His areas of expertise are Criminal Law General Part, Criminal Law Special Part, Criminal Procedure Law, Medical Criminal Law, Economic Criminal Law and Criminology.
